KG Hospital will organize a programme on “Management of Life threatening emergencies in dental practice” at The Grand Regent in Coimbatore on Sunday, 3rd December, 2017.
KG Hospital Chairman Dr G.Bakthavathsalam will preside over the function and deliver the inaugural address on “Resuscitation in dental clinic and CPR” with practical demonstration at 10.30 a.m. on that day.
Dental procedure has acquired great significance because of its critical nature, if not attended properly. It can even claim the life of the patient as has been witnessed recently in the case of a patient in Chennai.
Besides a dentist, a cardiologist and an anaesthetist too have an important role to play in treating a dental patient.
On the occasion, Prof.K.Arunkumar, Consultant, Maxillofacial Surgeon and Implantologist, will speak on the topic “Are you prepared for dental emergency?,” Dr P.Nitthiyan, Interventional Cardiologist, will focus attention on the topic “Cardiologist role in safety of a dental patient,” and Dr R.Senthilkumar, Anaesthesiologist, will dwell on the topic “Role of anaesthetist in dental practice.”
