Patient Guidelines & Information

📝 Admission Rules & Documents

  • Patients will be admitted only on the advice of doctors.
  • Please fill in the Admission Form in the Front Office/Reception and indicate your room preference (allotted subject to availability).
  • Ways of Admission:
    Registration Desk: Submit your doctor's reference note. Unreferred patients will be admitted after consulting a Consultant doctor.
    Emergency/Casualty: Admissions handled by the Casualty Medical Officer for urgent needs.
  • Forms: You must fill out an Admission Form (to ensure appropriate medical care) and a Consent Form (confirming understanding and acceptance of the treatment options).
  • Bring a minimum number of personal items (two sets of dresses, toilet soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, and towels).
  • Do not wear any gold or diamond ornaments. The hospital will not be responsible for any loss or theft of valuables.

🩺 Medical Treatment & Pharmacy

  • Your Consultant Doctor in KG Hospital will be responsible for your treatment and will advise on diagnostic tests.
  • Inform the doctor about the medicines you are already taking and get their consent before continuing them.
  • All required medicines must be bought from the Hospital's round-the-clock pharmacy.
  • Keep purchased medicines in the special tray provided in your room; the attending nurse will administer them as prescribed.
  • When emergency drugs are used from nursing stock, the patient's attendant must replace those medicines.

🍲 Dietary & Housekeeping Services

  • Your diet is decided by our dietician based on the doctor's specific requirements (healthy, nutritious, less oily, less spicy).
  • Please do not bring home-made food or food from nearby hotels.
  • We do not serve or advise non-vegetarian food for patients. Jain food is provided on request.
  • Your room and toilet will be cleaned twice daily (morning and evening).
  • The Hospital will supply linen for patients (please do not bring your own). Attendants may bring their own linen.

💳 Billing & Insurance

  • You will receive periodical "Payment Advice Slips." Make cash payments at the cash counter or the 4th-floor billing office.
  • Outstation patients may pay via demand draft or credit card (service charges apply for credit cards).
  • You can demand and obtain details of "Progressive Billings" from the Cash Department anytime.
  • Insurance: If utilizing Mediclaim/cashless facility, intimate the Insurance Department at admission. They will obtain authorization from the TPA before treatment begins.
  • Discharge for insurance patients is based on final approval from the TPAs.

🚪 Discharge & General Rules

  • Your doctor will decide when you are to be discharged. Plan your discharge upon settlement of the final bill prepared by the Billing Department.
  • We value your feedback. Please fill up the Feedback Form at discharge to help us serve you better.
  • Patients and attendants are strictly prohibited from smoking in the Hospital premises.
  • Silence must be maintained. Visitors and patients are requested to speak softly to avoid disturbing unwell patients.
  • Relatives are advised not to crowd near the patients' rooms.
