After completing my DNB in ENT I joined Sri Ramakrishna Hospital, Coimbatore, as a Registrar in Surgical Oncology
There I actively participated in holistic evaluation of patients with head and neck cancers, which included clinical evaluation, biopsy and flexible endoscopy (Nasopharyngolaryngoscopy, Upper GI scopy, Bronchoscopy).
Under my surgical training I performed resection of cancers of oral cavity,sinuses and larynx, neck dissections and surgery for thyroid and salivary gland tumours
After gaining experience in the field I decided to further hone my skills and joined Regional Cancer Centre, Trivandrum, to pursue a two year fellowship course in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology.
There I have performed over 500 surgeries for cancer of oral cavity, larynx and sinuses and over 200 surgeries for thyroid and salivary gland tumours. Apart from this I have also gained basic training in robotic surgery.
